Perinton Nursery School is accepting applications for an afternoon TA for the 2024-25 school year.
Roles and responsibilities:
Partner with our lead teacher in providing a safe, supportive, play-based learning environment for
children ages four and five. The ideal candidate for this position is: friendly, patient, nurturing, and
enthusiastic. If you love working with children, have experience working in an educational setting,

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
● Be at school from 12:15 pm – 3:45 pm Monday through Friday, September through May,
following the Fairport School District calendar.
● Additional availability for classroom setup in August, one Wednesday morning August story
time, and occasional (2-3 times per school year) attendance at special events outside of school hours
is required.
● Assist the lead teacher with setting up classroom activities, supervising and cleaning-up after
activities.
● Collaborate with the lead teacher to document the progress of students.
● Understand the teacher’s daily routine with the children, and leading the class in the event that
the teacher is absent on a particular day.
● Participate in extensive cleaning of all spaces utilized by the children.
● Be physically active and engaged in gross motor activities.
● Supervise children on the playground and outside time during all seasons.
● Attend to basic needs of children.
Required Qualifications:
● CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to attain)
● Upon hire, must pass criminal and child abuse background checks
● Must be 18 years or older
● High school diploma
● Minimum one year experience working with young children in an educational or daycare
setting
Salary Information:
Salary: $16.00/hour
$250 bonus based upon student enrollment
In addition to the standard school holidays, you will receive 3 paid Personal Days.
