Safety

As parents of PNS students, we’re reassured to know that our children are safe every day.  At PNS:

• The doors from the entranceway into our hallway are locked when class starts
• Chimes on the classroom doors tell the teachers if someone opens a classroom door
• There are two bathrooms located inside the classroom, so there’s no need for children to leave the classroom
• A fire drill is held on one of the first days of school with parents in attendance, so everyone who might be helping in the classroom during the year will be familiar with emergency procedures
• Students are only released to adults who are on a list provided by their parents; if the adult is not recognized by the teacher, they must provide ID.
• Teachers are certified in first aid and CPR
